While Black people are still fighting oppression, governors are indignant, privileged and entitled with their symbols. During this loving month, we have yet another racist story of a politician. Just today, Virginian Governor Ralph Northam was pictured with men in blackface and a KKK member/costume on his medical school yearbook. (click here: The Virginian Pilot article). Thanks to those who provided the picture whom obviously do not condone racism. As evidenced by loving Virginian Confederate General Garnett who designed the whitewashed beautiful Queen Calafia in her Great Seal of California (click here: AFRO article), we still must uproot its cancerous infestation. Do your part for Black History Month, spread Calafia’s California love to retore California’s namesake. (Join California Censored: Click here). Join me at ASALH’s Black History author’s event, D.C. also. Slay!
